Alvin CHIN
Sales Director, Hima S.E.A Sdn Bhd

Alvin CJ Chin is currently the Sales Director – HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH + Co KG for South East Asia region. He is also a TÜV Functional Safety Engineer ( ID TÜV FSEng 3550/11 ) and have been spending his time providing safety system solutions since the beginning of 2009.

Alvin has more than 23 years experience in the oil and gas / petrochemical industries in various roles from engineering, project management to sales and marketing of process control/safety instrumentation products. Prior to joining HIMA, Alvin held positions as Country Manager Malaysia & Singapore (Intrinsic safety, fieldbus products) and also as Business Unit Director , Asia Pacific in the field of surge protection.

Alvin is known for his interesting and lively presentation. He studies Electronics & Communications, Power Engineering in Singapore Polytechnic and also holds a Degree in Business Management from La Trobe University, Australia.

  2. Load Dispatch Activities with SCADA system for 15 years

Stanley, from Siemens Competence Centre (Industry) in Singapore is responsible for the process safety regional business. He is an Electrical Engineer with post-graduate instruction in Risk Management. He was a Senior Consultant in the Reliability and Functional-Safety Consulting team focused in the use of and recently the development of processes for life-cycle records, Maintenance-frequency estimation and failure forecast.
He has experience in application and compliance verification to IEC61508, IEC61511 / CENELEC RAM standards, Led a team in the design and realization of Safety and Protective, before moving full-time into providing Safety Instrumented Systems Audit, SIL Verification, Probabilistic Risk Assessment services – including Layer of Protection / Fault-Tree Analysis

Devender Singh
Regional Marketing Manager, GE Energy

Devender Singh is a Regional Marketing Manager at GE Energy (Asia-Pacific).  In this role, Devender works with Energy businesses such as Power, Water, Oil & Gas and Energy Management to develop and implement growth strategies.  Prior to GE, Devender worked in Emerson Process Management and Honeywell Process Solutions in engineering and business development roles.
Devender has an MBA (Marketing) from Duke University and B.Eng. from Pune University.

 
Norman BM Lee
Managing Director, Actsys Process Management Consultants Pte Ltd
Norman Lee graduated from Imperial College, University of London in 1979 with a first class honours degree in chemical engineering. He also completed his M.Sc. Advanced Chemical Engineering degree from the same university, and is a Chartered Engineer member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, United Kingdom.
Norman’s 20 years experience in the oil industry included senior management positions in Process Technology, Operations, Scheduling and Accounts Manager in Shell locations in the UK, Holland and Singapore.
Norman left Shell in 2001 to start his process management consultancy company, ACTSYS to provide consultancy services in performance monitoring and energy optimization for refineries, power plants and petrochemical complexes.
ACTSYS’s major power plant customers include Tuas Power Singapore, Senoko Power Singapore, Power Seraya Singapore, Malakoff Sdn Bhd Malaysia, PJB Indonesia and EGAT Thailand. Major refinery and petrochemical customers include Petronas Malaysia, MTBE Malaysia and Ethylene Malaysia.
